Part 1
The scene begins in Jallianwala Bagh, where thousands are massacred since they opposed the Rowlatt Act ( an act that promised India independence if indian soldiers were sent to the British army to fight in World War 1). India agreed, and the largest number of soldiers was sent from Punjab. 74,000 soldier lost their life in World War 1
Since the British did not honor the deal after the war, protests began from the people of Punjab, all assembling in Jallianwala Bagh. The protests were large in numbers, and hence, the British army killed thousands of people to silence them on the spot.

Note: The scenes of massacre are very disturbing here. Where you will get to see blooshed all around Jaliwalah Bagh. Pregnant women, children, and men are being killed mercilessly.

He proves that the revolutionary is not revolutionary but a terrorist, and he is sentenced to jail. The British give Akshay the knighthood and also appoint him as a member of the viceroy council to give General Dyer ( the general who ordered the killing of the massacre) a clean pass as an innocent man.
Moments later, Akshay comes across a small boy who lost his mother and sister in the genocide. His revelation and his death made him question the British Empire, and he took them to trial along with Anaya Pandey (the first female lawyer of Jalander)
Part 3:

According to Madhavan, Tanveer tried to brainwash the Jallianwala crowd that this was the only way of salvation. This would mean mass rape of British women, and creating disturbance and to prevent that General dyer did what was necessary to save the British raj.
Part 4:
Akshay, talks to the rape accused and proves in court that rape victim actually loved the rape accused and since they were caught in romance, the women was given the order as British citizen to frame Tanveer as a rapist but she ultimately breaks at court in cross questioning revealing tanveer’s innocence. Akshay proves that General Dyer has anger issues and is filled with immense hate against Indians. The court proves him not guilty despite all the evidence. Madhavan wins.
Part 5:
Akshay files against the court decision and then proves that 3 of the jury members were given bribes who initially ruled General Dyer guilty. The judge who was handling the trial was given a post back to London. Thus, the jury and the judge were all dishonest.
Ending
Akshay finally proves that Jallianwala was a mass murderer, and Madhavan feels ashamed that he fought against him just to make him look foolish in front of everybody. Akshay had a reputation for not losing any case in his life, and so does Madhavan.
Noteworthy scenes: The to-and-fro encounter between Akshay and Madhavan is breathtaking. Each is showing how wonderful they are as an actor.
Should you watch it?
If you miss this. You will miss life. I cried, my heart stopped at scenes seeing my fellow indians getting murdered just because of racial hate. This reminds of jews getting slaughtered by nazis. You will feel the pain of the Indians who died for the freedom of this country. At last, I want to say living in India is a privilege. Mera Bharat Mahan.
