Toxic Review – Yash’s Ambitious Gangster Drama Turns Into Torture

Part 1: A Villain Born From a Broken World

Toxic movie opens inside a circus, where we see a small child dressed as a joker. His mother, preparing for her performance, is visibly emotional and tells him that his father is coming. She asks him to get ready and look like a king.

The child runs toward the arriving car, excited to meet his father. But what follows is shocking. His father is none other than Raya (played by Yash), who takes the child away in his car and eventually throws him off a cliff, killing him.

The film then jumps back to Goa in 1947, where a powerful drug lord named Salvatore (played by Darrell D’Silva) is involved in a bitter feud with his brother Fernandes. Yash finds himself caught between the two sides. After killing Fernandes’ son, Raya becomes involved in the power struggle and eventually kills Fernandes, taking control of his criminal empire.

Salvatore’s daughter, Rebecca (played by Tara Sutaria) , is a spoiled, drug-addicted woman who becomes involved with Raya. Their relationship is extremely physical, and they have sex in different places around the house, at the bar, and other locations, showing how reckless and obsessive their relationship has become.

But everything changes when Nadia (played by Kiara Advani) arrives in Goa and opens a circus.

Yash becomes fascinated by her, and they fall in love. Their relationship quickly becomes passionate, and they have sex in the car, in alleys, on the beaches, and even inside the circus.As their relationship grows, Raya’s original girlfriend becomes increasingly paranoid. She realises that Raya is becoming serious about Nadia and tells him that they need to end the relationship because they are already married.

Part 2: Love, Betrayal and the Rise of Raya

Raya is still uncomfortable staying with Rebecca, and soon everyone in Goa starts talking about his relationship with Nadia. Salvatore finally warns Raya that if his daughter cries because of him again, he will shoot him on sight.

Raya promises to stay away from Nadia, and Nadia eventually leaves Goa. But Yash cannot stay away from her. He follows her and tells her that he wants to stay with her because “with you, I feel alive.”Raya then reveals the painful story behind his violent nature. As a child, he witnessed his mother killing his father.

In toxic nayanthara plays Yash’s sister known as Ganga who became the person who looks after him and stands by him. Because of everything she did for him, Raya treats Ganga like a mother and promises to honour her wishes at any cost.

Ganga in the Toxic movie eventually comes to take Yash away from Nadia. Later, we discover that Nadia is pregnant with Raya’s child. During the formal marriage ceremony with Rebecca, everything falls apart. Salvatore threatens that Nadia’s unborn child must die because the child’s existence could damage his reputation. Raya snaps. He opens fire and kills Salvatore.

Rebecca then shoots Raya, leaving him badly wounded.

The consequences are devastating. Ganga is taken hostage because Raya killed Salvatore. She is eventually shot point-blank and dies.

But Raya survives despite being hit by five bullets.He leaves Goa and travels to Macau, where he builds a new business empire and tries to leave his past behind. However, circumstances eventually force him back to Goa when the government threatens to seize his property.

Back in Goa, Raya meets another woman known as Mellisa (Rukmini Vasanth) whose father has gambled away everything in a casino and left the family drowning in debt. Mellisa asked Raya to excuse his father’s debt. Raya becomes close to her; they eventually marry, and the couple has a son named Adam.

Part 3: The Son Who Was Never There

We return to the shocking opening of the Toxic movie , where Raya appeared to throw his young son off a cliff. But then comes the biggest twist: the son wasn’t actually dead. A younger version of Raya suddenly appears, looking completely different from the older gangster. While the older Raya has the traditional gangster look, a massive beard, long hair, and an overcoat, the younger Yash is a modern, sharp-looking gangster with short hair and a completely different style.

And he is furious.The young Raya begins destroying almost everything his older self has built. Properties are attacked, his empire begins to collapse, and the older Raya becomes increasingly unstable as he watches everything slip away.

But then the film pulls the rug out from under us.There was never a younger son coming back for revenge.

The truth is far darker.

After Yash threw his son from the cliff, he immediately snapped and tried to save him. But he couldn’t. The trauma of losing his child completely destroyed his grip on reality.

The young gangster we have been watching in the toxic movie is actually Raya himself. His fractured mind has created an entirely separate version of himself, the angry young son he desperately wished had survived. This younger Yash becomes the physical manifestation of his guilt, rage, and grief, attacking his own empire as if he were the son taking revenge on his father.

So while we believe we are watching a father being hunted by his vengeful son, we eventually realise that Raya has been fighting himself all along. The revelation in daddy’s home toxic turns the entire story upside down and exposes just how psychologically broken Raya has become.

Part 4: The Final Descent Into Madness

Raya continues to struggle with his psychosis in Toxic movie , and the reality of what has been happening finally begins to sink in. He tells his new son to stay away from him, while slowly realising that the younger Raya he has been seeing was never another person; it was a fractured version of himself.

But by the time he understands the truth, it is already too late.The final confrontation begins when rival gangs send an entire army to eliminate Raya. But instead of seeing the attackers as ordinary gang members, Raya’s broken mind transforms them into clowns.

And that brings the story full circle.The film began with a circus and a child dressed as a joker. Nadia was also connected to the circus world. Now, in Raya final battle, the real enemies become clowns in his imagination, turning the entire climax into a disturbing reflection of the trauma that has followed him throughout his life.

Eventually, Yash in the toxic movie confronts and reconciles with his inner child, the child he could never save. Damn! Even Yash Raj’s new release, Alpha, was better than this

Final Verdict: Don’t Watch This

The toxic: a fairy tale for grown-ups initial release was on 26th August, and it is haywire from beginning to end. The script feels completely off, the dialogue delivery is inconsistent, and the repeated sexual scenes appear again and again without enough narrative context. Female characters repeatedly end up serving Raya’s character, while alcohol, smoking, and drug abuse are thrown into almost every other scene.

Instead of creating a dark, psychologically gripping gangster story, these toxic movies pile on sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, and psychosis until everything becomes exhausting. When people searched “yash birthday toxic,” they got character reveals in January 2025 and ended up with massive disappointment on August 26. Yash toxic birthday peek created so much hype that people prebooked the show, but alas, what a waste of money

The film is called Toxic.

But honestly?

“Toxic” isn’t the right word.
This is TORTURE.
