Alpha Review: Worst Movie OF Yrf Spy Universe

Part 1: The Beginning of Alpha

The movie opens one day after the Kargil War. We learn that around 1,000 Pakistani soldiers have been killed, but the battle has also caused heavy losses for the Indian side. Only two soldiers from one battalion survive: Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

Bobby Deol believes that soldiers should never have to face such massive casualties again. To prevent future losses, he creates a special force called Alpha. The members of Alpha are injected with an Alpha Serum, which gives them extraordinary abilities such as enhanced vision, speed, agility, and strength, essentially turning them into super soldiers.

As the story moves forward, we see that Anil Kapoor’s wife is pregnant but suffers from a serious heart disease. Doctors advise the couple to abort the child to save her life, but she refuses and wants to continue the pregnancy. Desperate to save both mother and child, Anil Kapoor injects her with the Alpha Serum. Tragically, the experiment fails, and both the mother and the baby die.

The film then reveals a larger problem: the soldiers who received the Alpha Serum are also dying under mysterious and abnormal circumstances. Their bodies initially respond well for a week or two, but later the serum stops working properly and begins to destroy them from within. This creates the central conflict of the story and raises questions about whether Alpha is a breakthrough or a dangerous mistake.

Part 2: A Shocking Family Secret

As the story unfolds, we learn that Anil Kapoor’s character actually had twins. Before the birth, Bobby Deol tells him that because the mother had received the Alpha serum, any surviving child would belong to the country rather than the family.

To protect one of the babies, the doctor secretly hides one twin and tells everyone that the child has died. However, the truth is even more shocking: The dead child that Bobby Deol later hands over is not Anil Kapoor’s child at all.

After the Alpha experiment fails, Bobby Deol is removed from active military duty and posted to Cherapunji, where he is no longer allowed on the battlefield. Instead, he continues running the secret Alpha project in Rajasthan. There, he raises and trains one of Anil Kapoor’s twins, played by Alia Bhatt, as a super soldier because she has inherited the Alpha abilities.

Meanwhile, the second twin, known as Durga, grows up in Spain, living a completely normal life, unaware of the truth about her family and her sister.

Part 3: The Truth Comes Out

The story becomes much more intense as Alia Bhatt’s character begins hunting down everyone who approved the Alpha project. She even destroys the secret Alpha base in Rajasthan, where she was raised, killing many soldiers in the process. Her next targets are Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor.

Bobby Deol claims that the Alpha serum has affected her mind, making her violent and unpredictable. A tense family reunion follows at a secret location, where Anil Kapoor tries to explain that he never intended for any of this to happen and was unaware of the consequences of the experiment.

At the same time, Bobby Deol reveals his real motive. He wants to capture Alia Bhatt because the next version of the Alpha project requires her brain cells to create a stable serum. However, the procedure would leave her in a permanent coma, making her pay the price of the new experiment.

The two sisters later escape to another safe house in Ladakh, where they meet Kabir, played by Hrithik Roshan. She helps protect them, fights off the attackers, and safely gets them out, setting the stage for the final confrontation.

Part 4: The Final Revelation and Ending

The biggest twist comes in the final act. It is revealed that Bobby Deol’s character was never a true patriot. Instead, he is exposed as a Pakistani ISI agent who had infiltrated the Indian Army, risen through the ranks, and secretly passed sensitive military information to Pakistan.

His real objective was to perfect the Alpha project, build an army of enhanced soldiers, and use that knowledge to strengthen Pakistan’s military in any future conflict. This revelation completely changes the audience’s understanding of his motives throughout the film.

Final Thoughts

The story ends with a massive showdown between Bobby Deol, Alia Bhatt, and the others. After an intense battle, Alia Bhatt finally defeats and kills Bobby Deol, bringing an end to his plans.

In the closing moments, Alia Bhatt chooses to fight for her country and agrees to join the RAW team. The movie concludes by setting up a new beginning for her as she embraces her role in protecting India, ending the story on a patriotic and action-packed note.

Overall, Alpha has an interesting premise and a few engaging moments, but it struggles with inconsistent storytelling, weak action choreography, and an uneven screenplay. As a part of the Yash Raj Spy Universe, it doesn’t quite live up to the standards set by the stronger films in the franchise.
