Pritam and Pedro Review: A Gripping Tale of Crime, Revenge, and Technology

Spoiler Warning: This detailed review contains major spoilers from Pritam Pedro. If you haven’t watched the series yet and want to experience the story without knowing the key plot twists, please proceed at your own risk.

Part 1: The Beginning

The series opens with an ATM theft that immediately grabs your attention. At the same time, a man in police custody keeps asking the officers to find his grandfather’s tape recorder. It contains songs his grandmother sang, making it very valuable to him. However, the police are too busy investigating the ATM theft to pay much attention to his request.

The man in custody works as a vacuum cleaner salesman, but he was once a cybercrime genius. He confidently tells the police that he can identify the criminals behind the ATM theft within just 15 minutes. Using a computer, he quickly analyses the case and uncovers important details, showing how skilled he still is.

Meanwhile, another police officer (Arshad Warsi) is assigned to recover a minister’s missing phone. He believes the phone was probably taken by the minister’s own child rather than being stolen, but the minister refuses to accept that explanation and insists on a full investigation. As a result, the field officer is transferred to the cybercrime cell.

In the cybercrime unit, the field officer (Arshad Warsi) has almost no technical knowledge, which makes the work even more frustrating. The officer requests that the commissioner transfer him back, as he believes cyber investigations are not his strength. The commissioner agrees on one condition: if he solves two major cases successfully, he will be allowed to return to his preferred field posting.

Part 2: The First Cybercrime Case

After being transferred to the cybercrime unit, the police officer gets his first major case. A man informs a TV reporter that he has discovered his wife is having an affair and plans to kill both his wife and the other man.

With help from a former cybercrime genius (Vir Hirani), the police track him down just in time. Instead of using force, the officer calmly reminds him that he has his own child who needs him. The emotional appeal works, and the man gives up his plan.

At the same time, the mystery of the minister’s missing phone is solved. It turns out the officer was right from the beginning; the phone had been taken by the minister’s own child.

Part 3: The Story Takes a Serious Turn

The series becomes much more intense when the minister’s son is kidnapped. The kidnappers demand ₹5 crore for his release, and the police once again seek the help of the former cybercrime genius.

As the investigation moves forward, the truth behind the kidnapping is revealed. The kidnapper is seeking revenge. Years ago, his father, a college professor (Boman Irani), died by suicide after being publicly humiliated by a cybercrime incident.

The former cyber genius had been insulted by the professor in front of the class for arriving late. In revenge, he leaked private photos related to the professor’s affair to the entire college and faculty. Unable to bear the humiliation, the professor took his own life.

The kidnapper (Vikrant Massey), who is the professor’s son, blames the cyber genius for his father’s death. Now he wants the cyber genius himself to bring the ₹5 crore ransom. This shocking revelation adds an emotional layer to the story and raises the stakes for everyone involved. The former cybercriminal gets badly beaten when they come face to face.

Note: Here we also get to see that the kidnapper is also a cybercrime expert and has designed a game called the Blue Whale, which gives children multiple tasks to advance in the game and ultimately leads to suicide. It is due to this game that (Arshad Warsi) son died of sucide. This is the same game that the Minister’s son played and got kidnapped.

Part 4: The Climax

In the final part, the kidnapper gives the former cyber genius only four hours to take his own life as punishment for what happened to his father. The police race against time to track down the kidnapper, but the task is extremely difficult because the kidnapper is also a cyber expert and knows how to hide his digital trail.

This creates a tense climax filled with suspense, as both sides try to outsmart each other. The series ends on an emotional and thrilling note, showing how one mistake from the past can destroy many lives and how technology can be used for both justice and revenge.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Pritam and Pedro is an engaging cybercrime thriller with a strong emotional backstory. The first half builds the characters well, while the second half raises the stakes with suspense and unexpected twists. If you enjoy crime thrillers with technology, investigation, and emotional depth, this series is definitely worth watching.
